Welcome to the German-Finnish Defence Dialogue in Oulu, 17.3.2026
The seminar programme includes speakers from Finland and Germany. We will hear an overview of the German defence market in a dialogue with
- Jan Feller, CEO of AHK Finnland
- Bernd Schröder, Military Attaché of Germany in Finland), and
- Hannu Nikurautio, Research Director at the University of Oulu’s 6G Flagship, overseeing the defence vertical and the 6G Technology Center. The Center is connected to the NATO DIANA programme.
This framework will be complemented by company cases from both countries.
The day continues with a demo afternoon, including insights into how a hybrid network (tactical and commercial) can be seamlessly extended using a UAV. This demonstration is a collaborative effort between Bittium, Nokia, VTT, and Nato Diana 6G Test Centre. It also highlights the significance of the OuluZone demo area for conducting various UAV scenarios, including beyond visual line of sight operations and air dropping of objects, to name just a few.
Furthermore, companies such as Lifthanger, MContainers, Conlog, and Creoir will present their products and demos during the afternoon.
